Learn How To Draw And Paint

Almost each weekend I get away and I express myself through putting my thoughts down on canvas and paper and it is all because I took the time out to learn to draw. This is not just a venue for emotional expression but also it allows us to determine how far we can go with our imaginative skills. For sure and without a doubt, the time that I took to learn how to draw was some of the best and most productive times that I have ever used in my whole life. I also learned how to paint at the same time but for me, it is the pleasure of making use of my pencils and charcoal that really lights up my life.

Study and Observe the Work and Style of Others to Improve Your Own

Do you ever wonder why people go to art museums? One reason is to study the artist’s style and the art work they have on display shows that unique style which is also part of their signature in the art world. It’s who they are.

Studying and observing the style of the drawing or painting is where I want you to focus on. Take time to look at what the artist did to enhance his or her work. What special features did he or she add to bring out strong emotions? What vibrant highlights were detailed to capture your attention? What blend of colors did they use? There is more to look at than just a pretty painting or drawing.

Looking at other people’s work and analyzing how they draw or paint certain features will greatly help you create your own style. Don’t worry about your work looking like theirs. After a time, you will notice that your own work will develop a unique style that’s all your own.

The thing to remember is that everyone approaches a drawing or painting differently. The key is to improve your skills as an artist and observing others is a great way to do it. So look at lots of art and you will quickly see a change, it’s all about being creative.

Yard Sale Watercolor Paintings

A dear friend of mine was shopping yard sales one Saturday morning. Among some of the treasures she found that day were two watercolor paintings for sale. It was obvious the artist was an amateur painter, but they were darling. Each one was a sweet little puppy. Once a black and white cocker spaniel, and the other a honey colored cocker spaniel. They were painted in a field of grass and wildflowers with small rolling hills in the background. It was obvious the budding artist put effort into her work. Who knows, maybe she will go on to be a famous artist one day and my friends little watercolors will be worth a fortune to her grandchildren.

Buying And Owning Beautiful Oil Painting Reproductions

Oil painting reproductions are the best solution to owning expensive famous paintings. They provide an affordable way to have their own replica of a favorite painting. When done by a skilled artist, an oil painting reproduction can fool even the trained eye, thereby making it appear exactly the same as the original version. However, it is not uncommon that some replicas may fail to match up to the distinct brilliance of the original piece of art. This means therefore that the process of a good oil painting reproduction is a rather challenging one and only highly skilled artists can do justice to its reproduction.

Where to Find fine art oil paintings
Nowadays, many companies and online art dealers sell oil painting reproductions. These companies have in-house skilled artists who are tasked to paint what their clients want.
